Adaptation, Not Invention

We did not invent the coin flip. We did not invent Sudoku. We did not invent scam detection or dice rollers or word games. The ideas behind our tools and games are not new. They exist everywhere. The value we add is not originality. It is adaptation.

We take familiar tools and games and adapt them for accessibility and privacy. That is where the work is. That is where the value to the user is.

What Adaptation Means

Adaptation means stripping away the barriers that mainstream versions put in the way. A typical Sudoku app is full of ads, tiny buttons, and low-contrast grids. For someone with low vision, it is unusable. We built a version that is just Sudoku: high contrast, large cells, keyboard navigation, screen reader support. The puzzle is the same. The experience is different.

Same with a coin flip. The maths is trivial. Anyone can flip a coin. But most coin flip sites are cluttered with ads, tracking scripts, and cookie banners. We built one that runs entirely in your browser, uses no third-party code, and respects your theme. The outcome is the same. The privacy and clarity are not.

Tools, Not Just Games

It applies to utilities too. Scam detection exists. Banks use it. Email providers use it. But many of those tools are behind sign-ups, collect your data, or are built into services that track you. Pure Mail is an adaptation: paste an email, get an analysis, nothing stored. The idea is not new. The privacy-first, accessible implementation is.

Our Scots translator, our digital dice roller, our puzzle that reveals a daily mantra: none of these concepts are original. What we add is high contrast, screen reader support, keyboard navigation, and zero tracking. We make them usable for people who are excluded by the mainstream versions.

Where the Value Is

  • Accessibility: High contrast, semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard support. So people with low vision or who use assistive tech can actually use the tool.
  • Privacy: No ads, no trackers, no cookies. No data retention. So you can use the tool without paying with your attention or your data.
  • Simplicity: No clutter. No dark patterns. Just the tool doing its job. So you are not fighting the interface to get to the thing you came for.

Honest About What We Do

We are not claiming to have invented anything. We are claiming to have adapted things that already exist so that more people can use them. That is a different kind of work. It is less glamorous than "disruption" or "innovation." But for someone who cannot use the mainstream version, it is the work that matters.
